Meet Our Principal
Dr. Jennifer Carraway was named as the Principal of GC Hawley Middle School. Dr. Carraway served previously as the Principal of Wilton Elementary School, CG Credle Elementary School and most recently as the Director of Licensure and Recruitment for Central Services. Meet Our Assistant Principal
Meet Our Assistant Principal
Ashley Lloyd is the assistant principal of Hawley Middle School. She is a native of Granville County and she currently resides in Oxford with her husband, Gerald and son, Brady.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina. When she decided to pursue teaching, she attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina to obtain a teaching license. She has worked at Hawley Middle School since 2001.

She has worn many hats at Hawley! She taught an elective class, supervised ISS, was the Dean of Students, taught 7th grade Social Studies for nine years, coached softball and volleyball, has helped out with custodial duties, and has even driven buses.

Being the Dean of Students made her realize that she wanted to become an administrator. In 2011, she was blessed with the opportunity to attend North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina to complete the Master's in School Administration program.
