GC Hawley: Air Quality Information

GCPS is committed to the health and safety of our students, staff and school visitors.  Maintaining healthy air quality is an important part of this effort.  On October 28, 2022, we received reports concerning stained ceiling tiles and irritants in the air in two classrooms on the 7th grade hall.  We immediately contacted a 3rd party laboratory for testing.  Various surface and air samples were taken on November 1, 2022, and the results came back on November 3, 2022.  The official reports are attached below.  We are now in the process of implementing the recommended remediation steps and will retest the impacted areas again on 11-8-22.  We have relocated students from the impacted areas to other parts of the school campus.

We will continue to provide updates to families as we have them.
