My name is Jessie Shore. I am the proud principal of Hawley Middle School. I was born in Winston-Salem, NC. I attended Western Carolina University for my undergraduate degree (Go Catamounts!). I also attended Salem College for my Masters in Arts of Teaching and continued on to Western Carolina (again!) for my Administration Degree. I am married to my husband Ryan and we have 1 son, Jensen! They are my pride and joy!

All of my experience has been at the middle school level. I love everything about middle school! It's such a fun place to be. I was a Math/Science teacher before moving into administration. I was previously an Assistant Principal in Wake County and I am so excited to join the Hornet Family this school year.

Hi! My name is Kendalyn Smith and I am your new Assistant Principal at GC Hawley Middle School! I am a Granville County Native. I was born and raised here as well as completed my Elementary, Middle, and High School Journey here. With a deep connection to this community, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching educational environment for our students.

My educational journey began in Granville County Public Schools, where I taught Third Grade at West Oxford Elementary School and later Kindergarten at Wilton Elementary School. I have recently completed my Administrative Internship at Granville Central High School. These experiences allowed me to develop a strong foundation in differentiated instruction, data-driven decision-making, and fostering a positive classroom environment on both Elementary and High School levels.

Having taught and been in a leadership capacity in Granville County, I understand the unique needs and strengths of our community. I am excited to continue collaborating with our dedicated staff, engaged students, supportive families, and community partners to build on our successes and empower every student to achieve their full potential.

I am honored to serve in a leadership role in my hometown, contributing to the ongoing success and development of GC Hawley Middle School and the broader Granville County community.
 

My name is Darren Robinson. I’ve been with GCS since 2018. I retired from UPS with 32 years of service. I now have the pleasure of working with my wife Dr. Robinson. We’re a blended family with 5 children, all have attended GCS with the youngest being in 1st grade. I Love serving the families and students of GCS.
